This training focuses on the immediate assessment and care for a wide variety of non-life-threatening and potentially serious situations:
Injury Assessment: How to size up the scene and safely assess an injured person.
Wound Care: Treatment for cuts, scrapes, bleeding, burns, and head, neck, and back injuries.
Environmental Emergencies: Recognizing and treating heat-related illnesses (heat exhaustion, heat stroke) and cold-related emergencies (hypothermia, frostbite).
Sudden Illnesses: Recognizing the signs and providing care for medical emergencies like stroke, seizures, diabetic emergencies, and severe allergic reactions.
Official Certification: Upon successful completion of the course requirements, you will receive an official American Red Cross digital certificate valid for two years.
